Pasta Bolognese
Tonight we had this tasty Italian dish. It looks like spaghetti but it taste so much better, pasta bolognese. I served it over thin spaghetti noodles because that is what I had but I think it would be fabulous with egg noodles. Try it your stomach will thank you. My stomach did but if I keep eating these yummy dishes I'm sure I will never shed these pounds.

Bolognese Sauce
1 large carrot, grated
1/2 of a large red onion, diced
1/3 cup olive oil
2 pounds ground beef
2 tablespoons Oregano leaves
2 tablespoons basil leaves
1 6-ounce can tomato paste
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup red wine
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
salt
pepper
3 14-ounce cans whole tomatoes
1 cup milk
1/3 cup heavy cream
Fresh Parmesan cheese
Grate large carrot, and chop purple onion. Heat large pot, pour olive oil in, then carrots and onion. Cook until tender. Set aside. Place hamburger in pan, brown until done. Mix carrots and onions back in. Add oregano, and basil. Stir until blended. Add tomato paste, and crushed garlic. Stir until blended again. Push mixture so there is a well in middle of pot, then add wine to center of pot, then add Worcestershire. Stir until blended. Add whole tomatoes, stir. Add milk and heavy cream. Simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Serve with your favorite pasta and grated parmesan cheese. Enjoy!!
